During tank run-down, LNG quality is measured before transferring to storage tanks to ensure it meets specifications. This step also boosts LNG storage safety by preventing fill-induced tank roll over and auto-stratification effects. Some measurement technologies can be problematic. GCs/vaporizers have slow results and higher OPEX due to vaporization, sample conditioning, and vaporized gas transport costs. They are also sensitive to LNG flow rate changes, causing inaccurate readings.
